Brittany Marlow: Statesville

2021 NC Main Street Champion

Brittany Marlow brings energy to everything she does! In her mid-twenties, Brittany began volunteering at downtown events and getting involved in community happenings in Statesville. Excited to have such a phenomenal young person engaged, Downtown Statesville Development Corporation (DSDC) quickly added her to its leadership team. Brittany served a two-year term as the DSDC chair, enthusiastically leading the organization through the trials of COVID-19. Although she also became a mother during this time, her work on behalf of downtown did not slow down. When Brittany became a partner in Excel Real Estate Group, she was adamant that the business locate its office in downtown. Downtown Statesville benefited from her real estate experience as it moved a historic redevelopment project forward in 2021.

Because of her passion for and commitment to downtown, Statesville is proud to name Brittany Marlow as its NC Main Street Champion.
