Elizabeth City - Ray & Maureen Donnelly

Ray and Maureen Donnelly are advocates for downtown in a big way. It’s impossible to list all the things they do to support and to promote downtown Elizabeth City. They own and operate a successful bed and breakfast in our central business district, and go above and beyond to put the “hospitality” in Harbor of Hospitality, especially as it relates to downtown. Ray has served on the City Council for six years, advocating for and supporting downtown initiatives. He also serves on the Main Street Board of Directors and Design Committee.

Maureen serves on multiple boards and committees of downtown organizations and others that impact downtown, such as Tourism Development, Friends of the Museum, and a food bank, just to mention a few. She was also instrumental in creating the Music on the Green Summer Music Series.

The Donnellys can always be found volunteering for downtown events and beautification projects. They are genuine North Carolina Main Street Champions.
