Rocky Mount- James Benjamin Braddock

Ben Braddock is the owner and operator of the Station Square office and retail center in Downtown Rocky Mount. Ben came to Rocky Mount a few years ago and found the property in decline. He acquired it and has since converted Station Square to be a centerpiece of downtown. Station Square incubates business start-ups, accommodates not-for-profit organizations, such as the Boys and Girls Club, and provides community meeting space. That is only the beginning of what Ben Braddock has contributed to downtown Rocky Mount. He routinely mentors small businesses, recruits individual investors to downtown, and promotes and advocates on behalf of downtown. As a realtor, Ben introduced the Triangle Real Estate Investors Association (TREIA) to Rocky Mount and established a chapter there. Through TREIA, Rocky Mount has become connected with investors, primarily in the Triangle, but also around North Carolina. Ben’s efforts have helped bring desperately needed commercial and residential investors and developers to the community. Ben Braddock is Downtown Rocky Mount’s North Carolina Main Street Champion.
