The Concord Downtown Development Corporation staff is proud to recognize one of the best citizens their community has to offer. Chris Abney of Red Hill Brewing Company is a business owner who has never shied away from doing what is best for his community. He partners with other local businesses for promotional opportunities and shows unwavering support for the Main Street program staff as a board member and friend. Whether he is hosting the annual Murder Mystery Scavenger Hunt, providing drinks for countless events, hosting young adult advisory board meetings, or creating a signature beer for downtown Concord, he is a reliable Main Street supporter.
During the pandemic, Chris's unwavering support for his fellow business owners was evident. He opened a tab at the local coffee shop to bring citizens to Downtown, provided food from Downtown restaurants to first responders, and even moved games from the Basement Arcade Bar into Red Hill until the Basement can reopen.
For these reasons, Concord Downtown Development Corporation is proud to name Chris Abney a North Carolina Main Street Champion.
