2024 NC Main Street Champion
As a representative of Wells Fargo, Crystal McMillan has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the City of Newton through countless hours of volunteer service. For six years, she has served on the Downtown Newton Development Association Board, holding executive positions as Secretary and Treasurer, and contributing to the board selection committee during a transitional period.
Crystal's support extends well beyond board membership. She actively volunteers during local festivals, assisting with barricades, serving as a street ambassador to ensure vendor satisfaction, and providing information and promotional items to attendees at the downtown booth.
Her community involvement also includes serving on her daughter’s PTO, supporting Special Olympics events, and volunteering in classrooms to teach financial responsibility and budgeting. Through Wells Fargo’s volunteer program, Crystal has secured significant cash incentives for local nonprofits by contributing her time and support.
Crystal’s selfless commitment, leadership, and generosity make her an exemplary model of volunteer service, inspiring others to follow her lead. Her tireless efforts have left a lasting impact on Newton.
