2024 NC Main Street Champion
David Ball is a passionate volunteer and advocate for Downtown Fuquay-Varina, dedicating his time and talents to projects that benefit the entire southern Wake County community. Whether lending a hand at local events or leading transformative initiatives, David’s contributions have made a lasting impact.
A lifelong Wake County resident, David attended Wake Christian Academy and Campbell University. His firm, Ball and Minor, CPA, PA, has long been a cornerstone of Fuquay-Varina’s downtown.
In 2021, David took on a new challenge: revitalizing neglected buildings in the heart of downtown. He purchased two properties, converting them into vibrant retail spaces with residential rentals on the upper floors. His dedication to enhancing the downtown experience didn’t stop there. David played a key role in the development of “The Q,” the town’s first multi-story mixed-use building. Spanning 36,000 square feet, this landmark project features retail shops and a restaurant on the ground floor, office suites on the second floor, and residential condos on the third. His vision has brought energy and life to Downtown Fuquay-Varina, attracting visitors, residents, and businesses alike.
Known for his even-keeled demeanor, David is a steady force behind the town’s progress. His commitment to the community shines through in unexpected ways—perhaps most memorably as the resident Grinch at Fuquay-Varina’s annual Tree Lighting!
