2024 NC Main Street Champion
Emily Westmoreland has been a dedicated contributor to the Downtown Hickory community since 2016. Her leadership and guidance have been vital to the success and internal operations of the Hickory Downtown Development Association.
Over six years, Emily served as treasurer and secretary on the Executive Committee, taking a mandatory year off before returning as Board President. She now serves as Past President, continuing her commitment to the Hickory Downtown Development Association. Beyond her leadership roles, Emily has been a key member of various committees, including Oktoberfest, Social Media, and Promotion, where her efforts have consistently driven impactful results.
Emily is deeply attuned to the needs of the downtown community. She is always the first to tackle challenges or dedicate extra hours to researching innovative solutions. Her leadership played a crucial role in the rebranding of the program’s website and social media channels, embracing new ideas and technology to better serve Downtown Hickory.
For her unwavering dedication and forward-thinking vision, Hickory is proud to honor Emily Westmoreland as its 2024 North Carolina Main Street Champion.
