2024 NC Main Street Champion
Jess and Wally Bashlor have been integral members of the Downtown Clinton community for the past six years. In 2018, Jess launched Soaps by Jess, later rebranding it as Remedy by Jess to educate the public about her natural skincare products. Today, Remedy by Jess operates out of Downtown Clinton, serving both in-person and online customers.
In 2023, Jess and Wally expanded their entrepreneurial impact by purchasing and rebranding Clinton’s only downtown coffee shop. Simply Brewed Coffee Company has become a vibrant hub of community activity, drawing visitors from multiple counties to enjoy its coffee, bagels, salads, wraps, and ice cream.
Beyond their businesses, Jess and Wally have served on the Clinton Main Street Program Promotion Committee and, for over a decade, have helped other entrepreneurs succeed through business coaching, counseling, and mentorship.
With their dedication to growing local businesses and fostering a thriving downtown, Clinton is proud to recognize Jess and Wally Bashlor as its 2024 North Carolina Main Street Champions.
