2024 NC Main Street Champion
Kayla Brown has been a dedicated volunteer for Downtown Morehead City for many years, and her exceptional commitment has been instrumental in the success of the local Main Street program.
A graphic designer and website developer by trade, Kayla uses her professional skills to benefit the community. In 2022, she led the redevelopment of the organization’s website, a large-scale project that has greatly enhanced the program’s ability to share information both locally and beyond.
Kayla also lends her graphic design expertise to create custom work for the program’s social media channels, advertising campaigns, and other print materials.
Her service extends beyond design work—Kayla has served on multiple Downtown Morehead City committees, currently as the Promotion Committee Chair and previously as Board Chair. She is also a dedicated volunteer for local events, an active participant in North Carolina Main Street trainings and conferences, and a steadfast advocate for the program.
For her unwavering dedication and impactful contributions, Morehead City is proud to honor Kayla Brown as its 2024 North Carolina Main Street Champion.
