2022 NC Main Street Champion
For sixteen years, Marin Tomlin held the position of Executive Director of Downtown Statesville Development Corporation. During her tenure, Marin oversaw and was a catalyst for many undertakings, always bringing fresh ideas to the board and executing them with unparalleled attention to detail. She gave her unwavering support to the City of Statesville's Streetscape project, bridging the gap between the City and Downtown business owners. Marin spearheaded the founding of events including the Friday After Five SummerConcert Series, Art Crawl, and Wine Walk. She also set in motion impactful projects such as Downtown Dollars and a successful marketing program. Through the years, Marin's leadership helped build the foundation for the strong Main Street organization that is Downtown Statesville Development Corporation. For many in Statesville, Marin is Downtown. Her indelible mark on Downtown is through her hard work, dedication, and tenacity. Even with her career change to real estate, Marin's passion for Downtown Statesville has not waned. She chose a firm located in Downtown, is a dedicated volunteer, and is always a phone call away when the Downtown Statesville Development Corporation staff needs advice or information. For her commitment to Downtown Statesville, Marin Tomlin is its two thousand twenty-two Main Street Champion.
