Downtown Morehead City, Inc., proudly acknowledges Chrissy Suralik as its North Carolina Main Street Champion. Chrissy relocated her business of eight years to downtown Morehead City in August 2017, and serves on the Downtown Design Committee. She endlessly volunteers her time and talents to make downtown more attractive. Her first project was to spearhead the wrapping of five signal boxes along Arendell Street. Three of the five boxes showcase Chrissy's beautiful and creative artwork. She also initiated the Design Committee's Community Outreach project. This included securing 60 gallons of paint, a painter, a person to do pressure washing, and a contractor to donate time and materials to repair a vinyl awning on a downtown building that needed attention because the owner's husband had been ill for several years. Downtown Morehead City is grateful for Chrissy Suralik, a 2019 North Carolina Main Street Champion!
