2024 NC Main Street Champion
Ryan Simons (SIGH-MONS) has been a dedicated advocate for Historic Downtown Wilson, consistently pouring his heart and soul into its success. As president of the Wilson Chamber of Commerce since 2013, Ryan has made it a priority to ensure that Downtown Wilson remains a central focus of the Chamber’s mission.
Over the past decade, Ryan has served on the Wilson Downtown Development Corporation's board. His strategic insight and business acumen have been invaluable in revising incentives to ensure they stay relevant to current economic conditions and effectively support the downtown business community. He continues to lend his expertise by serving on the Economic Vitality committee.
Ryan’s advocacy goes beyond meetings. He is a constant presence at downtown establishments, championing local merchants and volunteering his time to organize and support downtown events.
Ryan’s unwavering commitment to Downtown Wilson is evident in his work with both the Wilson Downtown Development Corporation and the Wilson Chamber of Commerce. His passion for fostering a strong, inclusive community and promoting downtown growth as a key part of Wilson's economic success has left a lasting impact.
