Wesley Shook, Public Works Director for the City of Brevard, has significantly impacted Downtown Brevard since assuming his role in 2020, particularly over the past year. His unwavering dedication and problem-solving abilities have been invaluable to the community.
As a trusted partner to Heart of Brevard, Wesley consistently exceeds expectations. He is always available to address project challenges, offering timely solutions that benefit local businesses.
During the Times Arcade Alley Storm Water project, Wesley worked closely with construction teams and utility partners to minimize disruptions. His proactive efforts ensured restaurants could remain operational during power outages by organizing generator support and often working late into the night. Additionally, he implemented temporary walkways during construction delays, enabling safe access for businesses and visitors during Brevard’s White Squirrel Weekend.
Beyond major projects, Wesley plays an integral role in the daily operations of downtown Brevard, responding quickly and effectively to community needs.
